What does the Phone Verify API do?
Phone Verify validates the ten digits of a U.S. telephone number and returns carrier information as well as the Location Routing Number (LRN). LRN is a unique 10-digit number that represents a telephone switch through which multiple phone numbers are routed. The LRN enables Local Number Portability (LNP), which allows phone numbers to be ported to different carriers. Note that toll-free numbers do not return LRN information.
Does Phone Verify cover Canadian phone numbers?
Yes, Phone Verify validates any number administered by the North American Numbering Plan Adminstration (NANPA).

How up to date are the service returns?
We update our database once a month. Any telecom information updates are done at this time.
Does Phone Verify identify who the line belongs to?
Phone Verify returns only the Telecom that owns the number, not the person using it.
Does Phone Verify specify whether the line is live and active?
Phone Verify does not return whether the number is in use, only if the number is valid and enabled for use.
Does Phone Verify identify the mobile carrier?
Phone Verify does return the mobile carrier that owns the phone number. This does not include what is known as the sub-carrier level. An example is Cricket has recently been acquired by AT&T so a number that uses Cricket would actually show as owned by AT&T.
What type of information does Phone Verify return?
Phone Verify returns the validity, use, location, and many other pieces of information about phone numbers.
Where can I download Phone Verify?
Phone Verify is a web-based API that is not downloadable or out-of-the-box. To implement the API into your application, programming by a developer is required. Details about integrating Phone Verify can be found on the Quick Start page.

When Phone Verify returns Valid True in the response, what does that mean exactly?
This means that the phone number is a valid phone number type. An example of one that is not valid would be 15555555555.
